St. Thomas is one of the most popular and busiest cruise ports in the world.  The island is also full of resorts, villas and condos too.  Millions of guests arrive yearly and are looking for memorable and epic tours and excursions.

Here is a Cost Comparison of all the tours, by category, on St. Thomas.

Walking Tours

St. Thomas is full of amazing beaches.  But when you want to take a short break from our crystal-clear, blue waters you can check out these phenomenal tours.  See old buildings and alleyways and learn about the checkered past of this Caribbean island.

2. Blue Mango Historical Walking Tours

In our humble opinion this is the best way to experience this historical town. 🙂  The town of Charlotte Amalie is a U.S. National Historic Landmark and we’ll take you as deep as you want to go into its history and alleyways.  This tour will hit all of the must-see sites but also a few private spots that no one else can show you including the only slave quarters found in St. Thomas.historic fort christian

The price includes Admission to Fort Christian (the only tour taking you into this 350-year-old fort), water throughout the tour, rum punch and a tasting of local food).

This is a rum tasting class located in a historic building in Charlotte Amalie.  It includes a bartender/guide that will teach you about the various rums you’ll be tasting.

The intimate location on Main Street is perfect for a private drinking experience.  In addition to tasting some unique rums there is also a mixology class to expand your drink-making skills.

Enjoy a fun, lively and entertaining day – unlike anything else offered on island.  Walk the streets of Charlotte Amalie and taste our boozy island concoctions all while learning about our long history of rum, pirates, scoundrels and heavy drinking.

You’ll be enjoying 4-5 island drinks (these are heavy pours – what we like to call a “St. Thomas Pour” – so you will be feeling “St. Thomas Sober” by the end).  The final drink will be a mixology class learning the way to make an iconic Virgin Islands drink – The Bushwacker.

You’ll get to taste some island food and be free to enjoy the lush, tropical gardens at our final stop.

You’ll stop at several “island-favorite” spots to enjoy local cuisine that includes saltfish, pate and callaloo.  And possibly the highlight is a cafe in an alleyway where you’ll make your own Painkiller (an drink created here in the Virgin Islands).

So skip breakfast and getting ready to eat!

Conclusion:

Like many islands and cruise ports we have lots of great ways to spend a day in paradise.  There are plenty of other options but I tried to cover as many as I could.  All the tours I’ve listed above have been around for a while so they are all reputable…as far as I know.  But of course, do your research and check out their sites and their reviews first.  Wouldn’t want you to blame us if they don’t live up to the hype.

And please remember cruise ship excursions and tours come and go all the time.  So I’ll try to keep up and continuously update the prices and options here on St. Thomas.

All right, go have some island fun!
