What to Expect
Wind your way through the streets, alleyways, and secret gardens of Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas – one of the best-kept secrets in all the Caribbean. This little island has a history that is connected to some of the world’s most important and monumental historical events.
On this 1.5-hour guided walking tour, you’ll learn about the island’s history, pirates, culture & people.
We’ll meet at the steps of Fort Christian and visit other iconic landmarks until we make our way to #13 Wimmelskafts Gade – an incredibly preserved former slaves’ quarters and home of the 3 Queens Distillery – where you can sample the distillery’s flagship rum and enjoy complimentary rum punch in a tropical garden.
Iconic landmarks may include (but are not limited to) – Hotel 1829, the 99-Steps, one of the oldest Jewish synagogues in the Western hemisphere, churches dating back hundreds of years, and the estate of General Santa Ana.

FORT CHRISTIAN STEPS
The tour will start where all St. Thomas stories start - at Fort Christian. A military fortification dating back to 1671.
THE SLAVE HOUSE AT #13 WIMMELSKAFTS GADE
The tour will end at the 3 Queens Distillery, a 5-minute walk from Fort Christian along Main Street. After the tour, relax in the distillery's garden or continue to explore our lovely town.
